Getting a ranking

So I play Madden 08 on the Wii and when I first started I had a ranking and then slowly lost it. How do I get it back? Like what do I need?|||Just keep playing ranked games online. It will show up again. They've been resetting the leaderboards and such over the past few weeks. A little annoying, but not too bad.
