There is reason for us Wii owners to be concerned.
If Madden 09 doesn't sell well, because Madden 08 has so many bugs in it, EA is more likely to label Wii owners as "casual," rather than admit to themselves (and their stock holders) that they released a poor product. As a result, Madden on Wii may become more and more watered down. (Enhanced Family Play! Ugh.) In the end, the 360 version would continue to get the bulk of EA's attention.

That's EXACTLY what I fear is going to happen...|||From all the news coming out in recent days, it sounds like they put their main resources into the Wii version this year. We got the Tiburon team which developed xbox 360/ps3 last year. And with such little news about those platforms coming out, it sounds like they've just fixed the bugs there, whereas the Wii version has really been revamped. Yes, they've made it more flexible for casual gamers, but they've fixed all the bugs and for Wii and rebuilt it too!
I would classify myself as hardcore when it comes to Madden, and I have to say that I've become very excited about 10!|||Who on this site really wants a causal/crappy Madden game? Seriously? How many of you guys think the 5 vs 5 mode has had any impact on the way we feel about Madden 09? Maybe 1 person (*cough*eddy*cough*). But it's not really the casual look I want in Madden 10 for the Wii. I want the Wii version to be just like the 360 and PS3 versions of the game, not some stupid "new, innovating" experience EA is trying to sell.|||I just want Man to Man D that works. 100% agree with you on that. It might be a result of having the difficulty on All Pro though, I've noticed on All Madden they don't seem to be as bad.|||
