Unrecoverable Fumble PS3...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMdlo1P7YwA|||Wow, that 318super guy looks like a real winner.|||Well, they are bringing in the experts to help them figure out the what glitches are present in the game. I'm sure that's not their ONLY method of fixing bugs, it just wouldn't make sense to outsource the work to unpaid non-employees. IMO it's not really that big of a deal, at least they're trying creative in their ways of trying to find glitches. Of course if these guys really are selling glitch guides for a living then I wouldn;t expect them to report all (maybe most) of their findings to EA, but like I said earlier that's probably not their only way of finding glitches.|||

Coor I think you are misunderstanding or I just didnt make it clear. They are not asking for help from anyone, in fact people from EA with authority are pre-releasing to certain individuals, and most I would guess are legit gaming industry types but after it leaves EA it is out of their hands. As to the other and far more important issue, these pay for glitch web sites are everywhere, I could list at least 10 right now. The actual disturbing thing about this is that the first time I sent a pm to EA Patrick (way back in December or January) his response was one of suprise and obliviousness when in fact this has gone on for years. Now considering that such sites are readily available, fairly inexpensive and are EASILY found, there is no reason for some of the problems to continue. I understand that programming cannot always be perfect (way to much info to catch every mistake) but to constantly come up with silly in game gimmicks instead of making a SOLID effort to eliminate major problems is disappointing! Point being, EA states they cannot duplicate said glitches (bullsheet!!), it happens and it happens often and the proof is right in front of their face but they TURN THEIR BACKS because they know we will all keep buying!!|||Ah, so that's what you were getting at. Yeah, saying that they can't replicate (most) glitches has to be a lie, hell all they have to do is play the game (online and off) for a little bit. Them pre-releasing the game isn;t anything new, I'm pretty sure just about all games have some pre-releases. If they're going to legit companies it's okay, I hope they're not giving them out to those websites. I think I understand your argument now, and I agree

I think it's logical that these sites you're talking about operate as reviewers; at least in appearance to game companies like EA. I would be quite positive that the companies don't look too hard to verify the authenticity of these companies.
I think it's like with the movie industry...they pre-release to critics, reviewers, etc. Some of these review companies obviously post this stuff on torrent sites...you see it all the time.
Obviously there are losers out there that love to find glitches, and can actually make money off of even bigger losers that will pay to learn glitches.
Maybe as the problem is pointed out, something can be done? We'll see. But in truth, it is a business and not likely worth EA's money to even generate a company memorandum to look in on the issue. Especially when they see there's not all that many players online.|||

Yes, and the huge loser factor on both sides is something that will never stop, it is just sad to think that people would consider cheating on a video game!, its a computer generated simulation for enjoyment not to claim yourself as # 1 in the world!(cough...cough...nickyG). Mostly we just want a fair honest online game because lets be honest playing the computer SUCKS!!
As to EA giving two **its about those certain vulnerabilities that really aggrevate most of us, I also believe they will sit back and claim that there is nothing they can do. Then once again pat themselves on the back for a job well done with whatever "new" features they came up with and line their pockets with our cash!! One thing is for sure mounting disappointment is growing between owners of all three gaming consule's and their inaction will eventually lead to lower sales number's....and lower online competition. Reality of it is by the time we the CONSUMER find out how the new release is EA has already BANKED OUR HARD EARNED MONEY
When is the new BackBreaker coming out????
|||i have only played a few games offline and i cannot understand why anyone would play offline - the game is a joke as far as difficulty, there is no chessmatch, matching wits and playcalls with a real opponent. most days you can find a game online anytime so the "i want to play now" mentality is not really a reason.
for guys who like to play offline - what is the allure? i am not making fun or looking for an argument, just wondering why there are not more online players.|||I don't get it either. There were reports that there were only 67,000 copies of Wii Madden 10 sold in the month of August/09...as a complaint. But when there's only like 200 online at any time, you realize that a very small number of players go online.
I agree...Madden against the computer is lame at best. I don't really know why such a small percentage goes online.|||Bravo gentlemen, just to exibit just how far out of touch some of these EA development team members are with what is truely important with the consumer here are links to 2 of a series of 5 discussions about "new" features.

Now I realize all the images are of the next-gen consule's but as with many of you I was unable to find any info about the wii version.
As of the estimated sales of M 10 just in August I have done the math.....
@ 49.99 a copy x 67,000= $ 3,349,330.....Yes that is THREE MILLION plus!!!
Then if you consider discounts and or coupons lets just say that those first 67,000 copies in August only sold for
39.99 a copy x 67,000= $ 2,679,330....Still almost TWO and THREE QUARTER MILLION , not exactly chump change!
These, as Steve365 said, "estimates" of August alone dont include the rest of the year....especially Christmas 2009.
If any of you reading this fail to see the significance of these numbers in relation to the online play, every single year that a Madden series football game is sold EA could afford to UPGRADE obviously outdated or
simply OVERWORKED servers but do not!! Lets also keep in mind 2009 was probably one of their lowest sale's numbers in years!!
Thanks EA!!
Oh and Bob, I made the Lombardi's smaller for ya

Oh and Bob, I made the Lombardi's smaller for ya
size is not really the problem its the quantity of trophies that is an issue -wish you could help me there.|||

Ya I dont think the Rooney's are willing to part with any of those, Big Ben maybe but not those

I like playing offline because I really don't like playing random opponents online. I mostly only use the lobbies to find/play opponents because I find that there's a far lower chance your opponent will quit on you (and I can avoid the kind of guys that make the cheating list

ya quitters really stink - this is only my 2nd year playing madden an in 09 the quitters/glitchers were 10x as bad as m10 but it is still annoying. I have softened up on that - i just quit/count do not care if i get a win or not. coordinator do you ever lose a game offline? the few i have played were very sad competition-wise but maybe you can change some settings to make it more difficult?
What difficulty setting do you play with offline? By default I believe it's on All Pro (the same as online) and that is pitifully weak. I'd suggest switching it to All Madden where at least it puts up a bit more fight, if you haven't already. Other than that I'd play with the sliders, trial and error is usually my first choice
