Wii play with blue moving target

I started to play the game but there is a blue moving target that seems to always be on the screen. If you place it over one of your own players the player disappears. What is the use of this target or is ther a way to get rid of it?|||Have you figured it out yet? the blue moving target that is...
Have you figured it out yet?|||If only there was a booklet of instructions included in the game box... |||

ok so now what I can get rid of it if I move the remote downward but what is the purpose of the blue target and can I get rid of it?
|||ok, if were talkin about the same target then its used for preplay calls, its very difficult to use at 1st but its vital. if you would like it gone during the play then tilt your wiimote upright during the play and its off the screen. are we talking about the same blue target?|||yep thats the same thing I'm talking about
|||Is he refering to the Point and Pass Target? Because that's exactly the behavior he seems to be describing.
You push A to throw to the guy that has "Disappeared".|||wow, it is your cursor so to speakto highlight players and choose option etc.|||okay, that blue target serves multiple purposes:
Defense pre-snap: When you hover over a player and he turns white(he's not disappearing, you are highlighting him) and press 'A' you select him. If you press 'B' it gives you options for preplay setup of the position set that player is in (i.e. line shift if you highlight a linesmen, LB shift if you highlight a LB, coverage audible if you highlight a DB). You'll also notice that the option for play audible. Just push the corresponding d-pad button and that action occurs. You also use it to setup defensive 'call your shot'. first press '1' then use the target to select the player and map his route.
Defensive after-snap: No purpose as far as I know.
Offensive pre-snap: By highlighting a linesmen and press 'B' you can shift the blocking scheme. if you highlight a receiver and press 'b' you can change his hot route. if you press '1' you use it for offensive CYS to select the receiver and map his route.
Offensive after-snap: you use it to point to the receiver you want to throw to.
There are other uses for it in the game, but I can't remember off the top of my head. If this is all brand new to you. I recommend that you play offline until you get the general feel for it. It can kill your game online if you are not somewhat comfortable with it.
