I would like to formally apologize to everyone who supported me and Iammadden and WMC even if you had issues with Commish. Obviously as Site President, I got no real say in matters or else this wouldn't have happened. Had I known Commish wasn't in this for the long haul or at least keeping the site going until he found a buyer, I wouldn't have agreed to help him out... and I'm sure others wouldn't have stuck around either.
There are many good players that were at WMC actively playing games (and at least one that I personally wouldn't vouch for that I wanted gone... ). I sincerely hope you don't take any of this out on those guys and I hope you will welcome them to your leagues too... those that will abide by the rules and be good members.
The "league wars" are stupid and juvenille to say the least and all those involved with the name calling and disrespect should just grow up.

Just don't take it out on the players.|||there never was a league war and most of the problems guys in my league had with wmc was they already knew commish and his modus operandi - I knew months ago that he would let in anyone, it would be a mess and commish would bail. I called it and posted it at a different league. When i pointed out the obvious things happening right in front of everyone i was branded as a hater and thought of as a troublemaker but i was just saying stuff on chat that everyone but the guys new to leagues already saw. The ban for me was justified because I posted my predictions which were not very flattering to commish lol. I hope a lot of the good guys go to the other league - leagues are great if run correctly.|||Bob to this day you are wrong... the trouble makers (bar 1) were the league vets that played at HMFL and WMC or abanonded WMC recently and play at HMFL. Letting in "anyone" didn't cause any of these problems. The hatred and posts from guys like JJ, MJ and you caused Commish to quit. There was only 1 quitter that was a new player (besides commish)... the other 5 quitters were vets and members of HMFL that jumped ship.
Personally, I have thick skin so I could take a little H8n... but commish is done with the insults. Congratulations to you all. You got him to quit. But maybe he would have anyway... who knows.
I will not defend any quitter. Honestly, he deserves whatever you want to throw at him for being a quitter. I personally wouldn't have let a few name calling punks mess up a good thing... but I'm not him and he has the right to close his site if he sees fit.

I'm leaving the ball however.. you guys can continue to play with it if you want but I'm going home..|||i am pretty sure i never made a hate post lol. i did post my predictions for wmc at another league that were really more a history lesson of what happened before that any types of genious on my part. Not really going out on a limb at all to say what happened before would happen again. And the predictions never came out of that league until commish had already quit once - as i predicted - so that post did not drive him away the first time....he was NEVER going to last more than a few months. This chain of events was set way before any trouble surfaced and that is what all you guys refuse to believe. HISTORY told us this would happen if it perhaps was expedited by outside forces so be it but the fact is commish was NEVER in this for the long haul most of it knew it and he convinced some guys how superior his league was and they BOUGHT it - refused to believe the facts and even now choose to blame the death of a doomed league on anything except the facts. I take some guilty pleasure in this mostly because of the snot nosed kids who kept coming around and telling how inferior the longest surviving wiimadden leagues was to the twice failed wmc......"we have more members, our website is cool, we have the best players, yours is not even a real league" on and on it goes the whole while I giggled at them knowing wmc would never make it to Christmas and snickered at them playing thier meaningless and soon to be defunct league games. Am I petty? oh ya lol. But don't push the blame on anyone or anything but yourselves for believing the snake oil salesman and not listening to me when i told ya it would not last. Whatever excuses there are for the failure do not matter.....whatever excuse fit at the moment would be used.
And you are pretty shortsighted if you cannot see that letting anyone in helped expedite the failure. You can lead a horse to water man..........open your eyes. How could you not see when all the bs and exaggerations were posted in the name of "marketing" for wmc that he was already grasping at straws? How could anyone defend the bs that was floated out there? For example: How can you call it hate posts when i disput the fact that 2000 games are played when 100 of those games claimed were MINE and none were played at wmc and non in the time claimed? is telling the truth hate posts?
If his league was functional we could not do anything to stop it - doe you have ANY idea how hard commish tried to take over/dominate the other league? He failed because the league is sound. WMC never was. Join a real league and see how cool league play is.

I have to agree with YWQ about some (not all) of the HMFL players that signed on to play at WMC . Call me a conspiracy theorist (or whatever I don't care, I too have thick skin and "you can't bring me down"), but they claimed to come from a league that is a class act but when it really came down to it they showed absolutely no restraint, dignity, or CLASS when they made their honorable appearances at WMC. We didn't get ANY complaints from the new guys that signed up and were actively playing in the SIM league. Even though a few of these guys were getting their butts handed to them and didn't win more than one or two games, they never whined and still tried to play out their season! To be fair we did see some members that were not very active and some others who also showed no class but those things happen and were addressed! I am sure in time WMC would have built a strong active membership! It just wasn't going to happen overnight as some expected it to! This whole situation is a mess and it never needed to be! Needless to say I am very disappointed and if I had some finacial stability right now I would buy the site! Although after this second unexpected shutting down I don't believe that there is any future for WMC now and I would probably just be throwing away money.

the wmc deathwatch has come to an end. Excuses are being made but no matter what anyone says this was inevitable for any one of 100 reasons that were lined up to doom that league. Guys it would never have succeeded because it lacked too many intangibles that nwl, hobbs, wiimfl have and that commish could not create by taking over leagues or smear/disinformation tactics. He had it all wrong from the beginning and any other reason you can come up with is a weak excuse. IT was doomed from day 1 and a lot of people knew it. Those who were too close or had a passion to make it work could not see the forest for the trees. The fact that any of you guys ever thought the league was viable just shows that he sold you on something that did not exist.
I WANTED commish to market and bring in new blood an blow up the leagues with new members.....but at every turn he made the wrong moves again and again. quit kidding yourselves - you were duped. i am done with this, go to the other league guys, there are 17 guys there right now and you will see they are good dudes - commish brought out the worst in a lot of us i think but you will fit right in over there now that the wicked witch is dead.|||Simply out of curiosity, How many seasons has WMC completed?|||Bob... wow... your idea of not making a hate post is WAY different than mine!
