My connection is flawless and in the past I have managed to have full games. I believe that somewhere down the line, someone who was frustrated that I may have beaten them, sent feedback to EA accusing me of cheating. I have done so only in the cases where I have played with cheaters. More often than not I send positive feedback. We all question EA's response to these reports and, rather than banning accounts, I feel that they may be assuming the feedback is true and has some kind of response which prevents one from being credited with a win or finishing out a game to receive a win. This can be the only way since amid all these recent games I have played, only four have allowed me to finish - 2 vs the CPU and 2 when I was losing.
For this reason, I am starting over. In case providing feedback may hurt your account as well, I am not going to do so. I can almost guarantee that my new id will not suffer this issue.
That is until some angry person claims I am cheating when I most definitely am not.
And as a disclaimer... I always play realistic. I never blitz nonstop. I never constantly throw deep. I never scramble all the time. I don't even accept mercy if I'm losing, because I feel that it is wrong to quit.
We'll see what happens.
Way to go EA.|||Who cares about realism. Last night I played some guy, and the connection was sooooooooooooooo bad I asked for a friendly quit after the 1st kickoff. he denied. So the rest of the game I ran the same playaction bomb over and over and he couldn't figure out how to stop it. Later after I get up 3 TD's he asks for a friendly quit. DENIED. I was being so mean to the kid like punting 1st and goal so I could try for a safety etc. It was so fun and so unrealistic as hell.|||Great post, Texas-Brawl. I actually had the exact same though yesterday about disconnects and cheating reports. If this is correct, it completely destroys the integrity of everyone's online record. Of course, it's not like EA actually cares anyway.|||I've been pretty lucky with disconnects (39-8 with 5 disco's where I was winning) and I don't ever give or receive feeback. You could be on to something. I had alot of these problems when I first got madden. I thought there may have been a patch or update of some sort. I quit playing for about 3 weeks because I was so tired of the lag and disconnects. Everythings been running good until I played

WHAT A FUCKING JOKE . the programers for this game are obviously retarded, as they didn't put ways to recieve wins if you're up in a game then disconnect, or even recieve an automatic win if the other player disconnects...versus recieving one yourself???
i'm soooooo dissapointed that i have the wii now, just because EA SPORTS SUCKS!

i love NBA Live , but from what i've read in forums, 08 wii play is a joke. (no turbo or dribble feature????).
probably the lamest thing about madden 08 besides all of this, is the lame gameplay.
there's nothing worse (like when madden just decides to favor a team to win). i swear some games skill doesn't even matter (like when i'm the ravens at home, and lose to the freakin BILLS ...but worse the bills had no turnovers the whole game...against the RAVENS??? SURE)
the play is so wack, like how i drop 100 interception passes, but how sometimes i'll throw to a 1 on 1 coverage open reciever, and the defender will jump up and somehow manage to pick off the pass (with poor posistion)
AND FUMBLES?? what a joke, you could have 4 players above the loose ball, and only madden can decide who picks up the ball??? you jokin me??
kickoffs and squib kicks??? how can someone kick the ball on a kickoff straight up, then place a player under my player before he catches it on the 40 yard line to run it, only to have the ball magically be caught by a near defender for (defense recovers)

i only continue to play it because i don't have a job right now, but once that start in november i'm probably done with madden 08 (worst madden EVER)|||When you and your opponent are both given a loss, it means the EA server disconnected both of you. This is EA's fault, not your opponent disconnecting. It's ridiculous that EA Nation gives both players a loss though, rather than simply not counting the game.|||After creating a new id and starting over, the game played clean. Somewhat. Game 1 found me scared to let it play out cos of past experiences and when my opponent conceded, I accepted. Despite gaining ranking points it failed to credit me the promised win. Definitely a bug since the game is recorded as happening when I checked out my stats. Game 2 I won cos the player quit and I beat another in a close game, but the opponent was a good sport. Game 4 found me winning and when the competition attempted an onside it froze and I was disconnected. So, from past experiences, onsides are nearly a sure bet at creating a freeze in addition to other split second, game-sealing, change of possessions (i.e. picks, fumbles). Beyond those, the game seems to run smoothly in the first three quarters. Game 5 resulted in a win after the opponent quit after six interceptions from Manning. So, I should be 5-0 but am currently standing at 3-1. Wii needs a patch like the next gens got. I just think they're slow. I can live with the product but it did take a while to get over the early frustration.|||Well, good news. The disconnects have stopped happening to me. Knock on wood. Since my last post, I only suffered five disconnects but they were all early on. One I wasn't going to win regardless, two I was going to win, one I had the opportunity to win, and one when my batteries suddenly disconnected from their port. However, I've compiled 13 more wins since my last post, and eight straight since the last disconnect.
I know this is all a load of information, but I've come to the conclusion that the higher in ranking you are, the less likely you suffer from the issue. I'm currently ranked at the 5 level. This may be why players who are in the Top 100 do not have as many issues as everyone else, albeit occasionally.
I don't know. I'm just trying to make sense of this madness. It makes me feel better at least.
What do y'all think?
Oh... an I've come to not trust concessions of defeat or the granting of mercy anymore. Ever since I was not credited with wins like promised, I never accept the opponents request. It may seem harsh and wrong, but at that moment I generally slow things down and stay away from scoring. So, if anyone plays me and this happens, please do not be offended.
